Two things stand out in this morning's agenda: one is hush-hush to be discussed behind closed doors in an EXECUTIVE SESSION. It may involve pending claims over actions by the Mesa Police Department or possibly a claim over flooding from a couple of years ago
 
The Council may vote to hold an executive session for the purposes of obtaining legal advice from the City Attorney (A.R.S. §38-431.03A(3)) or to discuss and instruct the City Attorney regarding the City’s position regarding contracts that are the subject of negotiations, in pending or contemplated litigation or in settlement discussions conducted in order to avoid or resolve litigation.

After using CBDG funding to pick up the tab for exterior work on ten commercial properties on Main Street owned by millionaire investors in the so-called "Façade Improvement Program" it's important that any funds be used for development of the entire community.   
 
Hear a presentation and discuss the status of unspent Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, and provide direction on the distribution of the unspent funds to shovel-ready projects, by June 30, 2019.
