Hugh Hewitt Show: Gov. Ducey Talks RGA, Getting Arizona Back To Work
Governor Ducey this morning spoke to Hugh Hewitt about meeting the demand of Arizona's growing workforce, welcoming new people to our state, and saving money for hardworking taxpayers.
"I think people look to a state that's attractive, where there's economic opportunity and a high quality of life. That's why Arizona's been among the fastest-growing states in the country," the Governor said during the show.
Airing different points of view is one of the bedrocks in the foundation of any democracy we can believe in and support. You don't need to be a weatherman to know which way the winds are blowing when both Andy Biggs and another Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar showed up together in-person on the stage for the second roadshow tour of the America First Rally here in Mesa at the Marriott Delta Hotel on Centennial Drive downtown, joined and paired-with Florida's Gaenz and Georgia's Marjorie Taylor-Greene.
This past week, the House was out of session, but continued to hold committee hearings and meetings. The border crisis is ongoing, inflation is hitting consumers hard, and emerging evidence suggests we may be closer to discovering the origin of COVID-19. However, my Democrat colleagues chose to spend the week tiptoeing around these issues, per usual, to talk about confronting white supremacy. Regardless, I used my time in committee to highlight our responsibility to address the issues Americans care about. Check out my newsletter below to see what I have been working on.
Border Trip to Yuma
Despite the Biden Administration’s failure to acknowledge the border crisis, chaos at our southern border is continuing to grow. Last month, 178,000 encounters were recorded, with many individuals coming from South America and Eastern Europe. Border security is national security and the reckless policies of President Biden enables illicit drugs and individuals on terrorist watchlists to pour in. Click on the photo below to see my recent border trip to Yuma, AZ, where I surveyed unfinished portions of the border wall.
House Oversight Committee
The House Oversight Committee Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties convened for a hearing titled, “Confronting Violent White Supremacy: Examining the Rise of Militia Extremism.” I exposed the hypocrisy of the Democrats who have held five hearings on the subject but refuse to discuss the violence carried out by Antifa or BLM. The bottom line is, all violence is wrong and should be dealt with accordingly. Click on the photo below to watch my opening statement:
Origin of COVID-19
During my House Oversight Committee Subcommittee hearing, I called on the committee to investigate the connection between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the COVID-19 outbreak. The outbreak impacted every single aspect of our lives for the past year. The American people deserve answers. Click on the photo below to hear my request:
Veterans Affairs Committee Member Day
The House Veterans Affairs Committee held a bipartisan member day hearing for non-committee members to discuss veterans issues that are important to their districts. I spoke about my new bill, the Veterans Health Care Freedom Act. This legislation will allow veterans access to primary, specialty, and mental care at non-VA facilities. Click on the photo below to hear me speak on this bill:
Tele-Town Hall
On Thursday, I hosted my monthly telephone townhall and answered questions from several constituents. It is an honor to be your Representative for Arizona’s Fighting Fifth District, and I will always fight to ensure your voice is heard in the halls of Congress. If you were unable to attend and would like to in the future, please follow my Facebook page for updates on the next one. Click here to go to my Facebook page.
What's the BIGGS Idea Podcast
This week, I had the privilege to discuss Critical Race Theory with American author, mathematician, and political commentator Dr. James Lindsay. We spoke about the impact of critical race theory on society and its utility as a tool of the Left. Check out the podcast by clicking the photo below:

John Wiseman is a planespotter.
He spends his days tracking radio data from planes across the country, logging them and mapping their movements. He’s noticed lots of weird things over the years, like military contractor planes dropping sterile fruit flies over LA as part of a fruit fly eradication program. When he heard rumours that planes circling over mass protests and riots in Baltimore were related to FBI surveillance, he began an intense research mission, collating seven billion raw aircraft transponder pings. He found that certain transponder codes were being used by aircraft registered to front companies, many of which used PO boxes also used by the US Department of Justice.
> He put together a list of hundreds of suspected FBI planes, which the FBI eventually admitted were them.
A massive FBI surveillance program was revealed – the planes circle locations all over the United States, spying on the people below and, in certain circumstances, mimicking cell phone towers to get digital data from the people below.
