The Heat Is On Here In Mesa . . . Let's See How Far It Penetrates

It's a good time to take advantage of the local, state, national and international massive media coverage converging here now in our city splashing headlines and police body cam videos right in-your-face and out-to-the-world to see. The Public has a right-to-know yet it is  not the kind of news Mesa city officials want to see - there's more to look at beyond the culture of police brutality . . . Roots go deeper than that
Let's first of all look at the usual scenario police departments across the country use to handle the media exposure: they are masters at media manipulation to control the news.
'Incidents' and 'episodes' first appear as single reports, frequently after real-time with sparse public notice. Sensational videos then appear to show the action catching the increasing interest of the public, then there are counter actions to tamp it all down - an investigation is started that delays what can be stated on the public record.
__________________________________________________________________________
It's a scenario that repeats itself time-and-time again. You can see that here in Mesa now: bad behavior on-the-job is recognized for what it is, personnel get suspended, reassigned or put on paid- or unpaid-leave. Heads of departments say they are angry, upset or disappointed by actions of just a few and an investigation is called for . . .it may take months or years.

Justice, however is not blind

You can follow the continuing news reports about 'something rotten in the Mesa Police Department" - some links behold organized by date/time and all that in related content outlined below.

Our View: Mesa has a culture of police brutality. It's time to root it out

"Something is rotten in the Mesa Police Department. New allegations of police brutality are arising in a department that has had a history of violent confrontations ... "
That's all to the good going in one direction into police brutality that can't in any way get ignored now. There are other historical
dimensions to dive into deeper than the violent actions and brutality by the 'boys-in-blue' : it might be called 'white-collar-crimes' that have roots in the generations-old political/governing culture established by the progeny of The Pioneers who have a false sense of entitlement in The New Zion.
Nearly every one of the 40 mayors of Mesa have roots in a line-of-succession going back to the 1870's and connections to Salt Lake City. They think they are divinely entitled to everything: A MONOPOLY.

They claim title to more land and properties all the time. They control Finance. They own and operate Insurance and investment companies. They own nearly all of the Real Estate here in Mesa using family trusts, LLCs, REITs and holding companies. FIRE
Their religion has a for-profit branch to expand The Kingdom, almost tax-free.

Do you want to mourn suicide? Mourn this. In 2013, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs released a study that covered suicides from 1999 to 2010, which showed that roughly 22 veterans were dying by suicide per day, or one every 65 minutes. Some sources suggest that this rate may be undercounting suicides.#LionelNationπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

What Happens Here In Mesa Doesn't Stay In Mesa

It's a good thing that more eyes are watching what happens here in Mesa. Far too often a closely-controlled local mainstream media-monopoly machine manipulates what they manufacture to produce stories in slanted narratives passing through to the public as 'news' without getting down to the real nitty-gritty.
That's usually the way some people like it - it's also the way certain people want it: keep it under-the-radar, make it a non-issue, delay any way you can releasing any more details to the public to avoid scrutiny, disclose as little as possible and attempt to keep it all 'private',  out-of-the-eyes and off-the-minds of the those who have a right-to-know.
There are times when certain hyper-local issues break through to a wider audience.
Officer-involved excessive use-of-force by the Mesa Police Department is the hot topic at the center of national and international interest.
It's taken on a momentum of its own on ABC, CNN, The NY Post, Kansas City Star, Japan Times, NBC, Fox, Yahoo News, Orlando Sentinel, Democracy Now, Vox, Huff Post, and Crime Report . . .  There's plenty to see
