From The Far-Right Other Side > Newsletter: The Biggs Idea

Don't know how far right Mr. Biggs wants to go outside Arizona's "Fighting 5th" Congressional District but he's showing some obvious allegiance and adherence to former President Trump's smokescreen trolling tactics every week

The Week in Review

Happy Friday!

The House was in session this week, and once again the Democrats focused on minor issues, like increasing taxpayer-funded leave for federal employees, while sidelining important matters that are plaguing our country. Our economy is still struggling to recover thanks to the failed economic policies of President Biden and the Democrat party. In fact, despite consecutive dismal job reports, Biden has been more focused on tearing up the Second Amendment and pursuing his woke agenda than strengthening America’s economy and national security. One major highlight of the week: President Trump’s announced trip to the southern border became the final piece of guilt that influenced Vice President Harris to visit the border, after operating in her role as “Border Czar” for nearly 100 days. Keep reading below to see several important happenings from this week.

2nd Amendment Interview with Breitbart

On Monday, I joined Breitbart reporter AWR Hawkins at a shooting range in my district to fire a few rounds and discuss the Left’s push for gun control. Our Second Amendment rights are more important than ever and I will always fight to protect them. Despite Biden’s clear agenda to destroy the right to bear arms, we will never back down. Podcast with Jason Chaffetz

Former GOP Congressman and Fox News host, Jason Chaffetz, invited me on his podcast to discuss how my upbringing, experience attending Brigham Young University, and career practicing law led me to the United States Congress. It was a pleasure speaking with such a great conservative and I’m honored to call him my friend. Click on the picture below to listen:

Judiciary Committee Markup Regarding Big Tech

On Wednesday and Thursday, the Judiciary Committee met for over twenty hours to markup six antitrust bills pertaining to Big Tech. While I could not support all of the bills that were considered, I look forward to working with my colleagues to address these issues.  Big Tech companies have reached a monopolistic position where they are crushing competitors and preventing entrepreneurs from entering the field. They are using their power to stifle political viewpoints, mainly conservative voices. It is long past due for the playing field to be leveled and for these companies to be reined in. Letter to House Minority Leader McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader McConnell Opposing Taxpayer Funded Abortion

As a strong pro-life advocate, I will never waver in my defense of life and the unborn. The American taxpayer should never be responsible for the cost of an abortion. The Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funds from being used to pay for abortions, is a well-established standard that has always been included in appropriations bills. I sent a letter to Leader McConnell and Leader McCarthy urging them to oppose President Biden’s budget, which excluded the Hyde Amendment, and reject any appropriations bills that do not include provisions to protect life. Censuring President Biden

President Biden and Vice President Harris have sent an unequivocal message that they prefer illegal immigrants over Americans. Their radical agenda has erased our southern border and destabilized the security of the American people. That's why I stand behind Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s censure of President Biden. Podcast Episode No. 40

Today, Brigadier General Robert S. Spalding joined me on my podcast to discuss China’s growing power throughout the world. He is the author of two books regarding China’s rise to power and its plan for global domination. My conversation with General Spalding was eye-opening regarding our race with China and what the United States must do to compete. Click on the graphic below to listen in:

“We’re talking about tens of millions of dollars in private investment down there,’’ Barney said. “I think this will be a catalyst for future investment. . . A youth devotional for the Mesa temple is scheduled for Saturday, December 11. The rededicatory sessions and youth devotional will be broadcast to congregations in the Mesa Arizona Temple district.

Additional details of the temple rededication will be announced later. In addition to the temple renovation, the area immediately around the temple has undergone redevelopment. A new temple visitors’ center, which includes a family history center and housing, has revitalized the downtown.

The Mesa Visitors’ Center will be dedicated on August 12 at 7 p.m. PDT in a broadcast to Church meetinghouses throughout Arizona.

The Mesa Arizona Temple is the Church’s seventh operating temple and the first temple in the state of Arizona.

In addition to the temple in Mesa, there are five other operating temples in Arizona. They are the Gila ValleyGilbertPhoenixSnowflake and Tucson temples.

Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints differ from meetinghouses or chapels where members meet for Sunday worship services. Temples are considered “houses of the Lord,” where Jesus Christ’s teachings are reaffirmed through baptism and other ordinances that unite families for eternity.
