Title: Conduct a public hearing to extend the locally controlled alternative expenditure limitation - home rule option.
Attachments: 1. Presentation

In a city of nearly 500,000 where most of the public is not active or engaged or oftentimes don't have a clue or even have any idea about what your government is doing, there is action voters have to take every four years to approve spending beyond what is a balanced budget.
Mesa is one of three cities here in Arizona cited by a group called Truth In Accounting with some problems.
__________________________________________________________________________
There's an increasing trend in other cities to
VOTE NO  >>
in some results from recent Home Rule referenda
Here in Mesa not too many voters even know what this is all about even though there is a requirement to hold and conduct two Public Hearings.
The first was on June 4, 2018
Did you happen to see any public notice about that any where?
Was there something called "Proper Notice"????
Where do you happen to notice or get informed?
Please check the official site for the City of Mesa Newsroom: www.mesanow.org
