The City of Mesa has announced that Assistant Chief John Meza has been selected as the interim Police Chief. He replaces outgoing Chief Frank Milstead, who was selected by Governor Ducey as the new Director of Public Safety. Meza, hired in 1986, has served as an Assistant Chief for 7 years and served 3 years as a police commander.
