As the EU announced a humanitarian aid corridor, the US planned to build a temporary pier off the coast of Gaza, reported FRANCE 24's Andrew Hilliar from Jerusalem. Israel initially welcomed both initiatives, saying it will coordinate with the US and it allies to ensure that aid gets to the people of Gaza.
