This is the shocking moment Emily Maitlis was told to 'f*** off' by US politician Marjorie Taylor Greene after she grilled the controversial congresswoman over conspiracy claims 'Jewish space lasers' ignited the California wildfires.
Hardline Republican Greene lashed out at the former BBC reporter during an explosive interview at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago HQ on Super Tuesday, which saw the former President secure candidacy wins in several states.
In a fiery encounter, Maitlis, 53, confronted the arch-Trump supporter over her remarks on social media in which she suggested the deadly 2018 blaze was sparked by a complex scheme involving a Rothschild-owned orbital laser array.
Maitlis, who now fronts The News Agents Podcast, first asked Greene, 49, about the former President's challenger Nikki Haley before moving on to grilling the far-right politician about her views on Trump's legion of supporters.
'Why do so many people that support Donald Trump love conspiracy theories including yourself?' Maitlis asked, adding: 'He seems to attract lots of conspiracy theorists.'
Hitting back, the US politician accused Maitlis of being a conspiracy theorist and claimed the media and left-wing supporters 'spread more conspiracy theories' than Trump's backers. 'We like the truth, like supporting our constitutions and our freedoms and putting America first,' a visibly frustrated Greene said.
But in an interview later likened to a spoof by lampooning celebrity hunter Dennis Pennis in the 1990s, Maitlis fired back, asking: 'What about Jewish space lasers - tell us about Jewish space lasers.'
Cutting her off, a divisive Greene ranted: 'We're all done now... why don't you go talk about Jewish space lasers and really why don't you f*** off.'
Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene told Emily Maitlis to 'f*** off' on Tuesday night after the British journalist questioned her about her conspiracy claim that Jewish space lasers started the California wildfires
Greene, seemingly frustrated by the line of questioning, argued 'we like the truth' and accused Maitlis, the left and the media of 'spreading more conspiracy theories'
