MOSCOW, June 1. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces downed 62 Ukrainian drones, 14 HIMARS rockets and three Hammer bombs in the past day, Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a report.

"Air defense systems downed 62 unmanned aerial vehicles, 14 US-supplied HIMARS multiple launch rockets and three French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs over the past day," the report reads.

According to the Defense Ministry, Russian forces delivered a massive strike at Ukrainian power facilities in response to Kiev’s attempts to damage Russian energy infrastructure. "Also, Western weapon depots [in Ukraine] were hit," the ministry said.

Battlegroup South

Russia’s Battlegroup South took up better forward edge positions, causing Ukrainian forces to sustain roughly 660 casualties, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
Also, the enemy lost two IFVs, eight cars, two 152mm D-20 howitzers, a 152 mm Msta-B towed howitzer, a US-supplied 105mm M119 gun, a British-made 105 mm L-119 howitzer and a Nota electronic warfare system, the ministry specified.

Battlegroup North

Units from Russia’s Battlegroup North repelled five Ukrainian counterattacks in the past day, the ministry said.
Also, the Russian units struck the manpower and equipment of eight Ukrainian brigades as they pushed deeper into the enemy’s defense lines. Ukrainian troops sustained roughly 240 casualties in the area controlled by Russia’s Battlegroup North in the past day, the ministry reported.
Also, the Ukrainians lost a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, six cars, an Osa air defense system, and a Nota electronic warfare system, the ministry added. In counterbattery fire, Russian troops hit a US-supplied HIMARS vehicle, a 152mm D-20 howitzer, a 152mm Akatsiya self-propelled artillery mount and a 122mm D-30 howitzer, the ministry specified.

Battlegroup East

Units from Russia’s Battlegroup East took up better positions in the past day, inflicting over 120 enemy casualties, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Also, Ukrainian troops lost an armored combat vehicle, four cars and a 122mm D-30 howitzer.

Battlegroup West

Ukrainian troops sustained roughly 450 casualties in the area controlled by Russia’s Battlegroup West over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Ukrainian forces lost roughly 450 troops, a tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, nine cars, two 152 mm D-20 howitzers and a 122 mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount," the ministry said in a report

In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed
607 Ukrainian warplanes,

Russian battlegroup wipes out six Ukrainian depots near Kherson in past day — governor

Among other targets, Russian forces destroyed 36 drones, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system and 47 observation posts, Vladimir Saldo said

GENICHESK, June 1. /TASS/. Russian troops attacked Ukrainian units near the Kherson segment of the line of engagement over the past day, causing the enemy to sustain roughly 50 casualties, Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo said.

"The Battlegroup Dnepr delivered several powerful strikes on the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, the 141st Infantry Brigade, and the 35th Naval Infantry Brigade (of the Ukrainian armed forces - TASS) near Nesteryanka, Novoandreyevka and Tyaginka, destroying six materiel reserve depots," Saldo wrote on his Telegram channel.

Among other targets, Russian forces destroyed 36 drones, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system and 47 observation posts, he added.
