Зеленский озвучил ДАННЫЕ разведки: Россия точно не готовится к примирению!

Putin is determined only to present a meeting with America as his personal victory and then continue acting exactly as before, applying the same pressure on Ukraine as before.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud for his support and willingness to contribute to peace. The leaders agreed that the teams of Ukraine and Saudi Arabia will coordinate all necessary steps.

The leaders discussed in detail all important issues of bilateral cooperation and the overall diplomatic situation.

I greatly value the determination with which President Trump is committed to bringing an end to the killings in this war. Every day, many people are giving their lives. But the sole root cause of these killings is Putin's desire to wage war and manipulate everyone he comes into contact with.

The President of Ukraine informed his counterpart about contacts with partners. All are equally committed to a genuine end to the war and to effective diplomacy. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ilham Aliyev discussed communication with the United States, European countries, and the key principles that can bring peace closer.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that international law, the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, and common sense must prevail in the world – namely, respect for the borders and territorial integrity of states, as well as for the dignity of every nation.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ulf Kristersson agreed to continue coordinating with other partners to strengthen their positions.

Statement by President Macron, Prime Minister Meloni, Chancellor Merz, Prime Minister Tusk, Prime Minister Starmer, President von der Leyen and President Stubb on Peace for Ukraine ahead of President Trump’s planned meeting with President Putin

We must end the war with a dignified peace based on a clear and reliable security architecture. Our partners are ready to help us with this.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of Finland Alexander Stubb.

Russian bombs hit bus station, university in Zaporizhzhia, injuring at least 20.

Russia attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs on Aug. 10, hitting civilian infrastructure and injuring 20 civilians, the Kyiv Independent reported.

At least 20 people were injured in the strike, regional Governor Ivan Fedorov said in his latest update on the casualties at 10:38 p.m. local time. The victims range in age from 24 to 77 and are all receiving medical attention.

Emergency workers continue to search for more victims who may be trapped under the rubble.

Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia the evening of Aug 10 with two KAB aerial bombs, the city administration reported. The first bomb struck a busy city bus station. The second hit a university medical clinic.

"This is terror," Fedorov wrote on Telegram. "And we must call things by their proper names. The Russians terrorize our people and all of Ukraine every day."

CCTV cameras captured the moment the Russian bombs struck Zaporizhzhia, recording a massive explosion.

According to Fedorov, the blast also damaged seven apartment buildings and non-residential buildings near the bus station.

"The bus station on a weekend evening is a place of meetings, travel and homecomings," the administration said in a Telegram post. "Today it has become a place of pain and loss. Russia continues to fight with civilians."

President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the strike in his evening address, saying the attack on civilians demonstrates Russia's unwillingness to make peace.

"No deadlines, no expectations from them work — they do not want to stop the killings," Zelenskyy said. "The only thing they are looking for is a way to kill Ukraine."

Zelenskyy's remarks come as U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin prepare for a face-to-face meeting in Alaska on Aug. 15, where they plan to discuss a settlement to end the war in Ukraine. The peace plan reportedly involves ceding Ukrainian territories to Russia.

Russia has occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast since the onset of its full-scale invasion in 2022, subjecting the rest of the region to daily aerial and artillery attacks.

Russian attacks kill 7, injure 47 in Ukraine over past day.

Russian attacks across Ukraine killed at least seven civilians and injured at least 47 over the past day, the Kyiv Independent reported citing regional authorities on Aug. 11.

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a 66-year-old woman was injured in the village of Bilenke on the morning of Aug 11.

Three people were injured in Russian attacks against Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Governor Serhii Lysak reported.

A 63-year-old man was wounded during Russian artillery and drone attacks against the Nikopol district on Aug. 10, which also damaged a vacation resort, four cars, and a house.

Further Russian attacks against the Nikopol district overnight injured a 52-year-old man and damaged more than a dozen houses and other buildings. A 31-year-old man was hospitalized after overnight attacks on the Synelnykove district, which also damaged two stores and a shop, Lysak said.

In Donetsk Oblast, Russian attacks killed two civilians and injured 11, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin.

Casualties included one person killed and two injured in Druzhkivka, one killed in Chernihivka, three injured in Bilozerske, and two injured in Kostiantynivka, Myrnohrad, and Ivanopillia each, according to the official.

Russian attacks against Kharkiv Oblast killed one person and injured five, including a minor, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said.

A man was killed and two women, aged 49 and 57, were injured during a Russian attack against the Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village.

An 18-year-old man was injured in the town of Kupiansk, a 67-year-old woman was injured in the village of Kozacha Lopan, and a 15-year-old boy was injured in the village of Pishchane, according to the governor.

In Kherson Oblast, four people were killed and seven were injured in Russian attacks, according to the regional governor, Oleksandr Prokudin. Two apartment buildings and 30 houses were damaged.

Top Russian official reportedly urged Putin to halt war against Ukraine.

Dmitry Kozak, a deputy head of Russian President Vladimir Putin's administration, has recently urged Putin to stop the war in Ukraine and begin peace talks, the New York Times reported on Aug. 10, citing its undisclosed sources.

The development comes ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump's scheduled meeting with Putin in Alaska on Aug. 15, their first in-person talks since Trump's return to office. The White House is also weighing whether to invite President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to join talks the same day.

Kozak, a longtime Putin ally and one of the few senior Russian officials privately opposed to the war, reportedly presented a plan to end hostilities alongside proposals for internal reforms.

Before the full-scale invasion began in 2022, the official had warned the Russian president about the risks of fierce Ukrainian resistance, and after it began, tried unsuccessfully to negotiate a truce.

Once a key figure in managing Ukrainian affairs, Kozak has lost much of his influence to Sergei Kirienko, deputy head of Russia's presidential administration, who now oversees occupied territories.

Western officials told the New York Times that Kozak has continued informal contacts with foreign representatives, seeking arguments that might sway Putin.

The Russian president has been refusing an unconditional ceasefire proposed by the U.S. since Ukraine supported it in March. Putin has publicly demanded that Ukraine forgo NATO membership and withdraw troops from partially-occupied Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts as preconditions for peace.

Moscow reiterated these demands during the Istanbul peace talks in May and again during the third round of talks in July, which concluded in less than an hour.

Belgorod resident says Russian warplane bombed a civilian area.

A resident of Russia's Belgorod Oblast expressed outrage after a Russian warplane purportedly dropped a bomb on civilian property, according to an alleged intercepted phone call released by Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) on Aug. 10.

"It's terrible. At five o'clock, there was a huge explosion," a woman is heard saying in the recording.

"And those were our planes. They were spotted on radar, and to avoid getting hit, they dropped it (a bomb) on a vegetable garden. Why are they flying over populated areas?"

The woman does not mention any injuries as a result of the incident.

Incidents of Russian munitions falling on Russian territory have occurred repeatedly during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Washington Post reported last year that Russian aircraft dropped glide bombs on domestic targets nearly 40 times between April 2023 and April 2024.

One of the most notable incidents occurred in April 2023, when a Russian bomb misfired and created a massive crater in downtown Belgorod.

Other incidents include the Jan. 26 discovery of a UMPB-250 "smart bomb" in a Belgorod Oblast village, and a Jan. 3, 2024, blast in Petropavlovka, Voronezh Oblast, that injured four people after what officials described as the "emergency release of munitions."

Belgorod Oblast, which borders Ukraine's Kharkiv, Sumy, and Luhansk oblasts, has served as a staging ground for Moscow's attacks. The city of Belgorod, about 25 kilometers (16 miles) from the border, is among the Russian cities most directly affected by hostilities during Moscow's war against Ukraine.

Azerbaijan approves $2 million energy aid to Kyiv following Russian strikes on Azeri-linked sites.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Aug. 11 allocating $2 million to the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, Azerbaijani media outlet First News Media reported.

The allocated funds will be used to purchase and ship Azerbaijani-made electrical equipment from the president's 2025 reserve fund. The move follows a series of Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure linked to Baku.

Russian forces launched drones at an Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR) depot in Ukraine's Odesa Oblast on Aug. 8, damaging a diesel pipeline and injuring four workers.

The attack was the second recent Russian strike on Azerbaijani-linked facilities in Ukraine, after a late June assault on a gas distribution station near Orlivka, part of the Trans-Balkan pipeline that began carrying Azerbaijani gas to Ukraine in July.

During a phone call on Aug. 10, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Aliyev condemned Russian strikes and discussed bilateral energy cooperation.

Azerbaijani outlet Caliber.Az reported on Aug. 10 that Baku may consider lifting its ban on supplying Ukraine with weapons if Russia continues targeting Azerbaijani interests.

Before Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, Azerbaijan had provided Ukraine with military equipment, including drones and armored vehicles.

Since the start of the war, Baku has maintained a policy of not supplying lethal aid to either side, while offering humanitarian assistance worth more than $40 million to Ukraine as of mid-2025, including energy equipment, financial aid, and infrastructure support.

Ukraine hits Shahed site in Tatarstan.

Drones operated by Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) struck on Aug. 9 a storage facility in Russia's Tatarstan Republic housing Shahed-type drones and foreign components used in their assembly, the Kyiv Independent reported citing the agency.

This is not Ukraine's first strike on Tatarstan since the beginning of the full-scale war in 2022, as the region's Alabuga Special Economic Zone is home to a facility that manufactures Shahed-type long-range attack drones and other reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Ukrainian drones from the Security Service's Special Operations Center "A" flew roughly 1,300 kilometers (about 800 miles) to strike a logistics hub in the village of Kizil-Yul, igniting a fire at the site, the SBU's statement read.

"The Security Service (of Ukraine) continues its systematic efforts to demilitarize Russian military facilities deep inside enemy territory. Storage sites for Shahed drones, which the enemy uses to terrorize Ukraine every night, are among our legitimate military targets," SBU said.

Russia has not officially commented on the reported strikes.

Ukraine strikes Saratov oil refinery in Russia.

Drones attacked an oil refinery in Saratov on Aug. 10, sparking a large fire and explosions, the Kyiv Independent reported citing local reports.

Footage posted on Russian social media showed what appeared to be drones overhead and the activation of air defense systems. Residents reported hearing a loud explosion before flames engulfed the facility.

Saratov Governor Roman Busargin confirmed damage at one of the region's industrial sites. One person was reported killed in the attack, and others were reported injured.

Reports also indicated air defense activity and explosions in the cities of Lipetsk and Voronezh.

The GSAFU later confirmed the strike stating:

Tonight, the Forces of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in interaction with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the Saratov Oil Refinery Plant (Saratov region, Russia).

Explosions and fire were recorded on the territory of the company as a result of the collision.

Saratov oil refinery is one of the key facilities of the Russian Federation's fuel infrastructure involved in providing oil products to the occupation troops. Its annual processing capacity is up to 7 million tons of oil.

Earlier, dozens of flights were delayed at Russia's Sochi airport following reported drone attacks. Ukrainian drones also targeted a storage facility in Russia's Tatarstan Republic which housed Shahed-type drones.

Ukrainian drones hit oil refinery 2,000 km inside Russia in the Komi Republic.

A Ukrainian drone attack on Aug. 10 struck the Lukoil-Ukhta oil refinery in Russia's Komi Republic, about 2,000 kilometers (1,243 miles) from the Ukrainian border, a source in Ukraine's military intelligence agency (HUR) reported to the Kyiv Independent.

HUR's comments confirm earlier reports from Russian media outlets and local officials that a refinery in Ukhta was struck by drones.

The attack marks Kyiv's first confirmed drone strike in Russia's northwestern Komi Republic.
