Meet Another Performance Artist [and You Thought The Guys In AZ Government Are So Much Fun]

Alabama is now sharing the political stage with the cast of characters now including a natural-born guy, male-by-gender Nyle DiMarco who's grabbing the spotlight as Drag Queen Ambrosia Starlight, holding a press conference just the other day.
Suspended Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore, temporarily removed from that high office for his opposition to marriage equality, is pushing back about the state's transgender bathroom law calling Ms. Starlight a 'transvestite' or cross-dresser [which a lot of men like to do].
Moore cited the cross-dressing entertainer as a reason he's at risk of losing his job for the second time since 2003.

" . . . That's fine with Starling, who helped lead an anti-Moore rally on the steps of the Alabama Supreme Court building in January. Opponents that day filled out more than 40 complaints against Moore, who already was the subject of other complaints and now faces removal from office if convicted of violating judicial ethics.
"If it takes a drag queen to remind you that liberty and justice is for all, here I am," Starling said Tuesday between sips of coffee.
Moore contends the effort to oust him is unfounded and politically motivated . . ."

Alabama, like Arizona a staunch conservative Republican-ruled stronghold, appears to be in some kind of upheaval with all three branches of government - judicial, legislative and executive - being investigated or indicted for wrongdoings.

Forecast Discussion: Overall yesterday was a pretty good day as far as air quality goes. Ozone barely peaked into the Moderates while the rest of the pollutants remained in the Good range. Moving forward, particulates are forecast to stay in the Good range with fairly light winds expected all week. The primary concern will be ozone. A ridge will strengthen over the region in the coming days resulting in stable atmospheric conditions. Calm winds and sunny skies will allow ozone levels to climb. By mid-week, we expect ozone to be in the upper-Moderates. Don't be surprised if an HPA is issued later in the week when the ridge is centered over the region. Additionally, you can expect temperatures to once again reach triple digits later in the week. Enjoy the weather today as it will likely be the last day in the 80's for a while. Check back tomorrow for more. Until then, have a good day! –R.Nicoll Last Update: Monday, May 9, 2016, 8:45 AM.

New Series: Inter-Active Public Art #4 > QUACKERS @ City Hall

Let's have fun and play this with a straight-face, what you see is what you get or is it more, open to different interpretations?
It is remarkable that out of all the possible selections for a public bronze sculpture in front of Mesa City Hall by the cascading water that harks back to the pre-history origins of irrigation canals hand-dug by the indigenous people Hohokam and later exploited and advanced by the Mormon Pioneers who "founded" this city in 1878, what we get permanently installed in waymaking is this piece-of-work by an artist from Loveland, Colorado dedicated in 2004 . . . not a local artist and with no roots here where irrigation created rich agricultural lands fertile for early economic developments and expansion of suburban sprawl. A small child feeding crackers to two ducks. What are your interpretations of the piece?
Front-handed and back-handed dealings in City Hall antics? Or just what it is?
