Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) has received a five-year, $1.7 billion ceiling, single-award follow-on IDIQ contract from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) to supply secure tactical communication solutions.  The contract was awarded under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program and was received during the fourth quarter of Harris’ 2016 fiscal year.
Under the contract, Harris will supply a wide range of secure radio communications, tactical communication networks and embedded high-grade encryption solutions spanning Harris’ entire tactical communications offerings.
“The contract highlights that Harris tactical communication solutions continue to meet the varied needs of our international customers,” said Chris Young, president, Harris Communication Systems.  "The agreement will add to an already broad range of Harris communications products and services for international customers under the FMS program.”

The world’s 400 richest people lost $127.4 billion Friday as global equity markets reeled from the news that British voters elected to leave the European Union. The billionaires lost 3.2 percent of their total net worth, bringing the combined sum to $3.9 trillion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The biggest decline belonged to Europe’s richest person, Amancio Ortega, who lost more than $6 billion, while nine others dropped more than $1 billion, including Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, the wealthiest person in the U.K.

The first step in developing proposals is to receive public input.

2 Aug. 4
from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Charles K. Luster Utilities Building, 640 N. Mesa Drive.
