Institute for Digital Progress
Smart City/IoT Technology & AZ
We established iDP two years ago to drive the acceleration and implementation of Smart City technology in the PHX region. Since then two things have become increasingly clear: (1) the smart city/IoT movement is in the beginning stages, and (2) it has never been more important than now.
There is an opportunity for the PHX region to be a global leader in this movement. Our region’s vibrant and accelerating #yesphx entrepreneur ecosystem combined with welcoming political and societal climates make PHX an ideal location for Smart City/IoT investment.
However, as technology continues to emerge at near break-neck speeds, our new information driven, digital, and more connected societies demand that local governments have viable smart region strategies to drive answers to 21st Century challenges.
