Instead of issuing a ban on industries or fines to the sources that generate air pollution,The Maricopa County Air Quality Department has issued for ban on residents.

No mention in Ms. Dowd's report about numerous violations of federal health standards for Clean Air in Maricopa County with advisories and alerts High Pollution, except for: Department spokesman Bob Huhn said the ban was put in place because wood-burning activity usually rises during the holidays.
