ITEM 5-d: Financial Security / Assets & Liabilities For City Funding of Police & Fire/Medical Retirement

There are a lot of moving parts here.
Probably more than most people realize when if comes to the issues of political patronage influencing election campaigns, it's "a hot potato".

The "employer" is the City of Mesa Government.
The city's Pension Funding Policy and unfunded liabilities
has been the focus of intense analysis and scrutiny for a number of years now in both City Council study sessions and regular meetings held in front of the public's eyes.
Hard questions were asked time and time again, only to meet with a strong resistance and a questionable defense by City Manager Chris Brady now employed more than 15 years as the city's chief executive officer.
