Snowden’s Triumph | US court rules NSA harvest on Americans’ phones illegal


A US federal appeals court has ruled that the National Security Agency broke the law with its telephone metadata collection program. The scheme was exposed by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden seven years ago, resulting in charges of espionage. He was granted asylum in Russia.
