The Week in Review

Happy Friday!

This week the House was back on Capitol Hill for a week of hearings and votes. While President Biden spent his time at the G7 in Geneva, Switzerland, showing world leaders what an “America Last” agenda looks like, I stayed focused on exposing his radical policies in Congress. Despite a record number of encounters at the southern border in May, inflation requiring the involvement of the Federal Reserve, and a dramatic increase in crime, the sole focus of the Democrat party is to keep spending your tax dollars at a record pace on wasteful programs. Keep reading below to see several important highlights from the week.

Fire Fauci Press Conference

If you want to be trusted, tell the truth. That was my main focus during a press conference I participated in exposing Dr. Anthony Fauci’s gross misconduct in the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Fauci knowingly misled the American people throughout the pandemic, while bolstering up his own fame and popularity. A recent FOIA request of his emails revealed his private beliefs were different from those he shared as truths with the public. Since Dr. Fauci is the highest paid individual in the federal government, the Fire Fauci Act will reduce his salary to zero dollars, among other things. Letter to Chair Sheila Jackson Lee Demanding a Hearing on Defunding the Police and the Rise in Crime

Crime is soaring in cities across America, yet Democrats have shown zero interest in addressing why. The answer is simple. The “defund the police” movement has emboldened criminals and caused police retention rates to plummet. I wrote a letter to Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the Chair of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, urging her to hold a hearing examining the calls to “defund the police” and the corresponding surge in violent crime. Read about my letter below:

Hearing w/ FBI Director Christopher Wray

FBI Director Christopher Wray came back to the Hill this week to testify in front of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. The topic of the hearing was, yet again, the events that occurred on January 6, 2021. I used my time to highlight the hypocrisy of the Left in turning a blind eye to the violent Left-wing protests across the country, but crying foul at the Capitol events.  Click on the photo below to watch my statement:

House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security

The Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security held a hearing titled, “Undoing the Damage of the War on Drugs: A Renewed Call for Sentencing Reform.”  During the hearing I discussed overcriminalization, duplication of crimes at the state and federal level, the dangerous calls to defund the police, and the associated rise in crime. Re-introduced the LIST Act

On Thursday, we reintroduced H.R. 3973, the Less Imprecision in Species Treatment (LIST) Act, which authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to de-list species from the endangered species list when there is evidence demonstrating a species has recovered. It also penalizes those who intentionally submit false or fraudulent data in order to cause a species listing. You can read more about the LIST Act by clicking below:

Service Academy

Last Saturday, I co-hosted a Military Service Academy Conference with Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) and Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-06). Arizona high school students and their families were able to hear from representatives from the Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, U.S. Military, and Naval Academies and the unique service opportunities offered by each school. Thank you to everyone who participated and to all the representatives and volunteers who made this event possible. Photos of the event below:
