Scott received 25% of Bezos’ Amazon stake after the pair divorced in 2019 following 25 years of marriage, and is worth $44.8 billion, according to Forbes’ real-time wealth tracker. Scott later signed the Giving Pledge alongside billionaires like Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates, and vowed to give away at least half of her wealth within her lifetime. So far this month, she has pledged over $200 million in donations, including $133.5 million to Communities In Schools, a nonprofit that works to keep kids from dropping out. Also this month, Scott donated to the National Council on Aging ($8 million), pro-choice think tank the Guttmacher Institute ($15 million), mental health nonprofit the Jed Foundation ($15 million) and teacher professional development organization Leading Educators ($10 million).
