Stoltenberg suggests Ukraine will have to compromise with Russia
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg suggested that Ukraine may eventually have to make concessions in the war with Russia.
Stoltenberg said that he was not calling on Ukraine to make concessions now, and added that "real peace" will be achieved when "Ukraine prevails."
- Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly stated that he wants to be a "mediator" to start negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
- Recently, Erdogan said that his country continues to seek mediation between Ukraine and Russia, and the Turkish Foreign Minister spoke of the need for a "ceasefire."

Ukraine may need to decide on what compromises it is willing to make to end the war, says Nato chief.
Today, during an interview, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Turkish president needs to understand that his country will not be enough to make negotiations between Ukraine and Russia take place.
"Even if we believe and hope that the war will end in the near future, we need to support Ukraine for many years, to build their defenses to deter future aggression," the NATO Secretary General said.

“When it comes to extra money for Ukraine, one of the reasons why I want a stronger NATO framework, institutionalized framework, around the support is that’s a way to ensure fair burden sharing,” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told Bloomberg Television. Earlier in the week, the chief of the alliance proposed to establish a fund of contributions worth $100 billion over five years for Ukraine.
