IMF: Ukraine's Public Debt to Exceed 110% of GDP in 2025
The IMF predicts that Ukraine's state debt will exceed the "psychological" mark

This is stated in the report "Financial Monitor", which was presented on Wednesday in Washington by the Director of the IMF Finance Department Victor Gaspar, transmits Ukrinform.
According to the Fund's calculations, the total state debt of Ukraine in 2024, after two years of full-scale war of the Russian Federation, amounted to 89.8% of GDP.
In 2025, this figure is expected to exceed the "psychological" mark of 100% for the first time and reach 110%.
Згідно з розрахунками Фонду, загальний держборг України у 2024 році, після двох років повномасштабної війни РФ, становив 89,8% ВВП. Цього року очікується, що цей показник вперше перевищить «психологічну» позначку 100% та сягне 110%.

Для порівняння: у 2021 році, до масштабного вторгнення РФ, цей показник не перевищував 48,9%.

- At the same time, the Fund predicts that Ukraine's total public debt will decrease next year to 108.5% with a further downward trend.
