Andriy Yermak Meets with Members of the Supervisory Board of the YES Forum

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met with members of the Supervisory Board of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) Forum.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the global security situation, developments on the front line, the fight against Russian propaganda, and the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

Members of the YES Board reaffirmed their continued commitment to supporting Ukraine on the international stage.

The Yalta European Strategy is a leading international forum dedicated to Ukraine’s European future. 

The initiative promotes the development of new ideas, fosters connections between Ukraine and international partners, supports reforms, and helps build a global network of friends of Ukraine.

Among the attendees were: 
1 Aleksander Kwaśniewski, President of Poland (1995–2005); 
2 Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden (2006–2014); 
3 Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of Finland (2019–2023); 
4 Kajsa Ollongren, Minister of Defense of the Netherlands (2022–2024); 
5 Victor Pinchuk, founder of YES.

Sanctions must be ramped up significantly. 
We must greatly enhance our cooperation – especially in the technological sphere – among all those around the world who are defending life. 
This is exactly what we agreed on with partners recently in Canada – at the G7 Summit. 
And we will continue discussing it next week through other formats of our cooperation in Europe, particularly within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing. 

The high-level program on diplomacy and international relations “Soft Power and Geopolitics” was held in Vienna for First Ladies and Gentlemen. The program was organized by the Global Platform of the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen at the initiative of the First Ladies of Ukraine and Austria, in partnership with the Diplomatic Academy of the Austrian capital.

 

The President expressed his gratitude for the $50 billion loan provided this year under the G7’s Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) initiative. '
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Christine Lagarde also discussed the use of frozen Russian assets to meet Ukraine’s needs.
 

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of those killed at the site of the Russian attack on a residential building in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv.

 

 

 

 

 

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, Dariia Zarivna, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine, Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ajay Banga discussed further World Bank support in assessing the damage inflicted on Ukraine and in reintegrating Ukrainian warriors. Special attention was paid to the development and effective management of Ukraine’s energy sector, as well as reconstruction projects.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of Japan Shigeru Ishiba.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to coordinate steps ahead of next week’s NATO Summit in The Hague.

The Head of State emphasized Ukraine’s urgent need to strengthen its air defense – particularly in terms of air defense systems and the missiles they require. During the meeting, the leaders focused on identifying the types of sanctions needed to force Russia to stop the war.
