Connecting the affordable housing industry.
Lopa P. Kolluri, a senior executive at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), will keynote AHF Live: The 2021 Affordable Housing Developers Summit, Nov. 15-17, in Chicago.
She will share an update on the latest news from HUD’s new administration.
Principal deputy assistant secretary for the Office of Housing and the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) at HUD, Kolluri is responsible for the Office’s policies, programs, and operations supporting home buyers, homeowners, multifamily residents, and housing counselors. She is also responsible for the oversight of manufactured housing and FHA’s single-family, multifamily, and health care mortgage insurance programs.
She has more than 25 years of experience in affordable housing and community and economic development in both the public and private sectors, including serving as deputy chief of staff to HUD secretary Shaun Donovan from 2011 to 2013. Prior to rejoining HUD in February 2021, Kolluri was the chief development and operating officer for the Philadelphia Housing Authority, the nation’s fourth-largest public housing authority serving nearly 80,000 public housing residents.
In addition, Lindsey Piegza, chief economist at Stifel Financial, will kick off the conference by sharing her forecast and digging into the trends affordable housing developers need to know heading into 2022. AHF Live will also bring together leading affordable housing developers and owners to lead informative sessions focused on development, finance, and industry hot topics.
