It is that time again - District 5 Councilmember David Luna and District 6 Councilmember Kevin Thompson are termed-out. They can't run again for a seat on the Mesa City Council - but Kevin Thompson may have plans to get elected to the Arizona Corporate Commission.
Jennifer Duff is the incumbent in District 4 after serving four years - her position is open for new challengers.

Mesa City Council has called a Primary Election for Aug. 2, 2022 for nominating a Councilmember candidate in Districts 4, 5 and 6.

Their new terms expire in January 2027.
Key Primary Election Dates are as follows:
First day to request an early ballot - May 1, 2022
Voter registration cutoff - July 5, 2022
Early voting begins - July 6, 2022
Early voting in person ends - July 29, 2022
PRIMARY ELECTION DAY - Aug. 2, 2022
