"General Hertling’s take on UKR counter offense is is pretty novel to me and he is probably right. He is basically saying that Ukraine does not have an ability to put up a combined arms operation and may not for some time. Since they don’t have a significant air force, do not have enough tanks and armor I am sure he is right. SO no traditional major offensive can really work the way one might envision an offensive as the United States would do it.
Instead he is saying this will involve a lot of smaller and localized offensives. Like not one big push and more like death by a thousand cuts. If Ukraine does this it will drive Russia batshit crazy."
