A Baker Was Asked To Make A Costco-Themed Birthday Cake And Completely Nailed It

How adorable is that fondant hot dog?

"Leave it to TikTok to out-Costco Costco.
TikTok user @CakesByAle, who describes herself as a self-taught cake artist, was recently tasked with creating a Costco-inspired birthday cake for a customer. And as you can see in her TikTok, the end result is a masterpiece that far outshines any Costco bakery sheet cake.
This content is imported from Tiktok. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.
"I had been counting down the days to finally make this cake since the order had been placed. This customer ordered a Costco-themed cake for her dad's birthday. Everything about this cake order had me excited," she explained in the video.
The real magic happens when she begins to place various Costco food court items made of fondant on the cake. There's a slice of pizza, a hot dog with mustard, a Kirkland bottle of water, and a fountain drink.
  • The cake also includes a fake Costco membership card—but with the recent membership crackdowns we don't recommend any funny business.
The TikTok has well over 1,500 comments, and the cake itself has even received the approval of a Costco veteran.
"My husband has worked for Costco for almost 40 years, he opened one of the original warehouses in Seattle. He thought this cake was amazing!!" wrote one TikTok user.
And there were plenty of other comments that were just as kind.
  • "I love how cute this is! all the cute details are so fricken perfect," one person wrote.
  • "Wow! This is the best cake I’ve ever seen! So cool," read another comment.

Well, we definitely know what our next birthday cake theme will be. Delish
