Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is having a moment. What does it mean?

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is “very upset” after her state’s governor, Brian Kemp, criticized Donald Trump for meddling in Georgia’s 2020 election—so much so that she might consider challenging Kemp’s possible 2026 Senate run, she told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Trump pushes Marjorie Taylor Greene to run for U.S. Senate
JANUARY 12, 2023

"...At present, Greene seems to be the most viable option on the reported list, despite (or by virtue of) her long track record of outrageous remarks and incidents. The Georgia Republican, who is riding high after championing
Kevin McCarthy in his hard-fought victory for the Speaker’s gavel, has been one of the biggest fundraisers for Republicans in the House since winning the election in 2020. And thanks to her speeches at Trump rallies, she is already a fan favorite among the MAGA faithful. If the plan for Trump’s third presidential run is to simply lean in, then allying with Greene would accomplish that. .."
