An Ozone High Pollution Watch is in effect for Tuesday

An Ozone High Pollution Watch is in effect for Thursday
- Air quality-wise, ozone will be the pollutant of interest. The high pressure will result in sunny skies and light winds, conditions conducive for ground-level ozone formation and build-up.
Therefore, daily elevated ozone levels are expected to continue.
- 1) An Ozone High Pollution Advisory is in effect for today.
- 2) An Ozone High Pollution Advisory has been issued for Monday.
- 3) Ozone High Pollution Watches have been put into place for Tuesday through Thursday. In regards to PM (dust),
- PM will be mostly locally driven. Industrial areas south/southwest of the Phoenix metro will likely see elevated PM levels on weekday mornings.
- Winds from distant thunderstorms may also cause briefly elevated PM levels in the evenings/nights.
