SUBURBAN FUTURES: The one graph that says it all

This sets up the region for a massive commuting fail as residents are denied more jobs closer to where they live, and are instead forced to commute from dormitory areas to employment areas – often well outside their own local government area.
  • A key challenge, as we see it, is that predicted areas of the greatest population growth are not also supported by capital investment via state budgets, nor are they envisaged to have proportional jobs growth.
