I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.

News from Congressman Andy Biggs

Returning to DC to Fight for the American People

August Recess has officially come to a close, and Members of Congress are ready to travel back to the swamp to fight for policies that put America First. I am thankful for the time I’ve had to spend out in my district, but I am eager to take the fight back to Committees and the House Floor.

Next week’s planned Committee activity focuses on illegal immigration caused by the Biden Administration’s Border Crisis. We will be examining two devastating consequences of our unsecured southern border in Judiciary Subcommittee hearings.

We’ll be deep in appropriations fights for the next several weeks as we make every effort to decrease the budget deficit created by corrupt and greedy politicians on both sides of the aisle.

Our $32.8 trillion debt averages out to over $98,000 per U.S. citizen, so we must reign in reckless federal spending. Congress has a responsibility to our constituents to responsibly spend federal money on programs and initiatives that promote America First.

Next Week's Committee Activity

On Wednesday, September 13, I will be chairing a Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance hearing titled “Children are Not for Sale: Examining the Threat of Exploitation of Children in the U.S. and Abroad.”

The hearing can be streamed live on YouTube at 2:00 pm EDT/11:00 am PST.

On Thursday, September 14, I will be participating in a Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement hearing titled “Terrorist Entry Through the Southwest Border.”
