This innovative program aims to convert treated wastewater into purified water, addressing water scarcity challenges in Arizona. Our goal is to introduce AWP as a viable option for Arizona communities, ensuring a safe, reliable, and sustainable drinking water supply. To that end, we invite all stakeholders and interested parties to contribute their input on the proposed Roadmap as we collaborate to enhance Arizona's water portfolio for a prosperous future.

The AWP Proposed Program Roadmap is the result of eight months of research and recommendations by the Technical Advisory Group on AWP topics such as pathogen and chemical control, enhanced source control, advanced water treatment, and outreach. - ADEQ has also conducted a technical and legal analysis and evaluated processes from other states to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable drinking water to Arizona communities.
