EU Leaders vs Trump Will Peace PREVAIL or War ESCALATE?
A very important meeting is going to take place today at the White House between the US President Donald Trump, the EU leaders, Zelensky and Mark Rutte. They will discuss the outcome of the Alaska Summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
The most debated topic is security guarantees for Ukraine. Marco Rubio has spoken with NBC News just before this meeting and has stated that sanctions on Russia are unlikely to force Russia to agree to thew Western plan and that the fate of the war in Ukraine lies ultimately in Zelensky’s hands.
The Coalition of the Willing and Zelensky has coordinated positions just before the summit and are expecting to see what Donald Trump’s position is, regarding the coalition sending troops in Ukraine. Zelensky has also stated that Ukraine needs security guarantees that work in practice just like NATO’s Article 5.
