Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine’s position is absolutely clear: 
  1. the path to peace must begin with a ceasefire. 
  2. Ukraine is ready for this, as well as for meetings at the highest level in various formats.
The Head of State informed about all recent contacts and efforts aimed at securing an end to the killings and establishing a real peace. 
  1. The President noted that there have been many contacts at various levels. 
  2. All are united in the understanding that the war must be brought to an end and that 
  3. A common European position must be developed on every important security aspect.

The two Presidents share the view that peace can be achieved through U.S. support and European unity. They agreed to coordinate their efforts. 

At the instruction of the President of Ukraine and the Head of the Office of the President, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva held an online meeting with Deputy Director General of the National Security Council of the Republic of the Philippines Nestor Herico.

The key topics discussed included diplomatic steps to bring about 
  1. a just and lasting peace, 
  2. joint defense production, 
  3. support for Ukrainians, and 
  4. the negotiation process regarding Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
 

The leaders discussed the importance of participation of European representatives, together with the United States, in the process of achieving a real and just peace.

 

The President thanked the IMF for its financial support and noted that Ukraine looks forward to continued cooperation. Kristalina Georgieva emphasized that, despite the war, Ukraine is fulfilling its obligations to the IMF and implementing necessary reforms.

  1. That's why Europe's voice must carry weight in the processes.  
  2. And we are coordinating with our European leaders both regarding our conversations and our meetings to align all positions.

The Head of State informed her about his recent conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders, as well as the current diplomatic opportunities.

“Ukraine and Germany share the view that the war must be brought to an end as soon as possible — with a just peace. 
The terms under which this war ends will define Europe’s security for decades to come,”

--- the president said, sharing details of the conversation.

Zelenskyy added that security advisors from Ukraine, across Europe, and the United States will hold an online meeting today to coordinate shared positions.
 
The president also noted that yesterday, various potential formats for upcoming peace-focused meetings at the leadership level were discussed:
