Hungary-Ukraine Tensions RISE Following Another DRONE Incident
Ukraine has accused Hungary of sending drones into their airspace.
- This has prompted an exchange between Zelensky, Peter Szijjarto and Andrii Sybiha, with accusations being made by both sides.
- Ukraine Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has accused the Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto of being rude in his response to Zelensky and has also accused Hungary of being too friendly to Russia.
- Mr. Szijjarto has said listed all the problems which exist between Hungary and Ukraine and stated that these are the obstacles to Ukraine’s EU membership aspirations.
Zelensky has warned that Ukraine will respond militarily to any such airspace violations.
Dmitry Peskov has warned the Europeans leaders that their rhetoric might have dangerous consequences.
The EU is trying to isolate Hungary and find a way to bypass Viktor Orban’s vote regarding the Russian frozen assets and their transfer to Ukraine.
