Ignorance has become a survival strategy
to manage information overload and protect one's mental well-being by intentionally avoiding overwhelming or threatening knowledge, a phenomenon known as the "ostrich effect". This can be a form of strategic ignorance to preserve one's choices, emotional state, or self-image, allowing for focused action on what is within one's control and avoiding paralysis from an overwhelming number of crises
