City of Mesa Primary Election Called
February 25, 2020 at 3:36 pm
The Mesa City Council has called a Primary Election for Aug. 4, 2020.
The Primary election ballot will include candidates for Mayor and Councilmembers in Districts 1, 2, and 3.
Key primary election dates are as follows:
  • First day to request an early ballot - May 3, 2020
  • Voter registration cutoff - July 6, 2020
  • Early voting begins - July 8, 2020
  • Early voting in person ends - July 31, 2020
  • Primary Election Day - Aug. 4, 2020

City of Mesa General Election Called
June 16, 2020 at 9:31 am
The Mesa City Council has called a General Election for Nov. 3, 2020.
Residents who are registered voters by Oct. 5 are eligible to vote in the Nov. 3 election.
Early voting by mail begins on Wednesday, Oct. 7.At the General Election, the qualified electors of the City shall vote on the following measures:
Question 1 - Transportation Bond
The Maricopa County Elections Department launched an online portal for voters to request a one-time ballot in the mail or to sign up for permanent early voting.Thenew online portalcomes as people are being encouraged to continue to physical distance amid the coronavirus pandemic.
