Art in the Park Event Engages Mesa Residents to Create Art Installation for New City Hall and Take Part in Mesa History
November 1, 2023 at 4:18 pmMesa residents will be able to collaborate in creating an art installation for the new City Hall. Art in the Park is a unique and interactive free event that brings art, crafts and music to our neighborhoods. The family-friendly events begin on Nov. 9, and will extend through March 2024 on select Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

August Ranch Park, 9455 E. Neville Ave., March 28
- The sculpture, known as "Flip Side," will be an M-shaped wall containing more than 300 tiles.
- One side will have a black and white photograph of a person, while the flip side will have a message from that person on a colorful tile to showcase the community's faces and voices.
- The new artwork will be unveiled at the grand opening next fall and will be on display for up to a year.
Art in the Park is part of Together Mesa, an initiative launched in May 2022 that embraces our community's rich diversity and inspires residents to get involved in their local community. Together Mesa collects and showcases the voices that make Mesa, fostering awareness and understanding to strengthen us as a city.
