Hezbollah releases photos of slain commander with top leaders
The Lebanese group made public a series of photographs of Wissam al-Tawil showing him with top Hezbollah commanders who were killed before him and senior officials, including the group’s chief Hassan Nasrallah.
One photo showed al-Tawil sitting next to top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a US drone strike in Baghdad in 2020. The pictures were not dated.
Hezbollah has not released details about al-Tawil’s rank other referring to him as a “leader”.
