It is happening in the air, on land and at sea. Around 50,000 personnel from NATO Allies and partner countries are testing their ability to operate together to defend their populations and territories and deter potential adversaries in NATO’s biggest exercise in recent years. Exercise Trident Juncture brings together around 50,000 personnel, 10,000 vehicles, 65 ships and 250 aircraft from 31 NATO Allies and partner nations. This exercise was primarily aimed at bolstering the internal confidence of the Alliance, rather than deterring aggressors.
