A majority of 272 lawmakers voted to dismiss Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, who oversaw the reconstruction programme and championed efforts to set up a Black Sea shipping lane during a de-facto Russian blockade.
- The exit of the 41-year-old comes amid plans to break up his powerful ministry into two separate portfolios, lawmakers said.
- Kubrakov said on Facebook that his dismissal had not been discussed with him in advance of the vote and that he had not been given a chance to defend his tenure in a presentation to parliament.
It was not immediately clear who would replace the two ministers. Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a senior lawmaker, said Kubrakov would not be reappointed.

Verkhovna Rada MPs dismiss the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure Kubrakov
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the Ministry of Infrastructure was officially merged with the Ministry of Regional Development in December 2022. At that time, the new structure was headed by Oleksandr Kubrakov, a former MP from the Servant of the People party, an entrepreneur, an expert in the IT and mobile communications markets, who is also a member of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. . .
"I am always ready for an open dialog and a detailed report on the work of the Ministry in all areas of my responsibility... We have managed to launch a number of important initiatives and projects for the state. Regarding the vote for the draft resolution by the Verkhovna Rada, we have come a long way in 5 years of joint work. With an absolute majority, we are moving in the same direction. Everyone makes decisions in accordance with their beliefs and is responsible for it," he wrote on Facebook.
It is noted that on the same day, the Prime Minister is to be presented with a proposal for candidates for the positions of Minister of Infrastructure and Agrarian Policy (instead of Solsky, who resigned amid a corruption scandal).
