Butler spoke highly of Brady’s leadership and vision for the city and called him his mentor and a friend.
- Vice Mayor Scott Somers asked Butler to explain how the roles he’s held for the past 21 years prepared him for the top administrator’s job.
- Butler responded that in all his positions there has been cross-department collaborations, which gave him insight on how each department functions and also allowed him to build relationships within the city.
