28 zero-day vulnerabilities. From browsers and OS exploits to virtualization hacks and AI attacks, this year’s event pushed the boundaries of offensive security.
For the first time, Pwn2Own included an AI category, revealing 7 new zero-days targeting machine learning infrastructure.
Researchers earned $140,000 in AI bounties, including
- Wiz Research’s $30,000 exploit on NVIDIA’s Container Toolkit.
- STAR Labs SG made history with the first successful VMware ESXi exploit at Pwn2Own, taking home $150,000.
Other standout prizes included $100,000 for a SharePoint flaw, $80,000 for a VMware Workstation bug, and $50,000 for each of two Firefox exploits.
Despite several bug collisions reducing payouts, STAR Labs SG dominated the leaderboard, earning the coveted “Master of Pwn” title with $320,000 in winnings.
