- These tariffs will go up to 25% starting 1 June 2026 and they will stay in place until the US can acquire Greenland.
- Donald Trump has criticized Denmark and other European countries for not ensuring Greenland’s security properly and has underpinned this reason for the US “need” to control Greenland.
Stephen Miller has also stated that it’s unfair for the US to keep paying for Greenland’s security while it remains under Danish control.

Stephen Miller has also criticized Denmark for not doing enough for Greenland.
The EU leaders have called an emergency meeting on Sunday afternoon in order to agree on a response to Donald Trump’s tariffs.
