Kyiv's
mayor has called on residents to leave the city temporarily to find
warmth after Russian strikes left half of the Ukrainian capital's
buildings without heating in -8C, with temperatures expected to dip
further.
"Half of Kyiv's apartment buildings – nearly 6,000 –
are currently without heat due to damage to the capital's critical
infrastructure caused by a massive enemy attack,"
---- Mayor Vitaliy
Klitschko said on social media.
"I also appeal to
residents of the capital who have the opportunity to temporarily leave
the city for places with alternative sources of power and heat to do
so,"
---- he added.
