President Donald Trump’s latest social media offering comes as U.S. looks ahead to Independence Day celebrations on the 250th anniversary of its founding
President Donald Trump has posted a painting on Truth Social that brings together classic all-American imagery - with an unusual twist.
The artwork shows George Washington and Trump either side of a collage of patriotic scenes, from the signing of the Declaration of Independence to the Moon landing. Other iconic imagery includes a pioneer’s wagon, the Statue of Liberty and Mount Rushmore.
But less traditionally, in the center of the piece, a man who appears to be Washington and a boy sit down to watch a firework display in the company of a humanoid robot.
The identity of the artist responsible was not given by the president, but his caption on the post read: “Great painting!! President DJT”.
