Crew Evacuated After SLNC York Takes on Water
On August 18, 2026, the US-flagged cargo ship SLNC York began taking on water while operating in the Pacific Ocean. The vessel’s operator, Schuyler Line Navigation Company (SLNC), confirmed that the entire crew was safely evacuated as a precautionary measure. All crew members were transferred to the nearby vessel Pacific Yantai, which responded to assist. SLNC stated that “all crew members remain safe, uninjured, and fully accounted for.”
