How can I use Zelle®?
- add your recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile number,
- the amount you’d like to send or request,
- review and
- add a memo, and
- hit “confirm.”
Zelle is a free, fast digital payment service integrated directly into the mobile apps of over 2,200 participating U.S. banks and credit unions, allowing users to send and receive money electronically. Transactions are typically available to enrolled recipients in minutes using only a recipient's email address or U.S. mobile number, with no separate app download required for most users.
Key Mobile Transfer Features
Integration: Access Zelle directly through your bank’s existing mobile app (e.g., Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo) via the Pay & Transfer or Send Money menu.
Speed: Money moves directly between bank accounts, usually arriving within minutes if the recipient is already enrolled.
Cost: There are no fees charged by Zelle or participating banks for standard personal transfers.
Security: Payments are protected by the same security technology used by your bank, and account information remains private.
Irreversibility: Once money is sent to an enrolled recipient, the transaction cannot be reversed or canceled.
How to Use on Mobile
To send money, log into your banking app, select Send Money with Zelle, and choose a contact or enter their email/mobile number.
Enter the amount, review the details, and confirm the transfer.
If you have not yet enrolled, you will receive a notification via text or email with a link to set up your account and receive incoming payments
