Also, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, speaking for the first time since Saudi Arabia admitted a role in killing Jamal Khashoggi, declared it a “heinous crime” and promised justice at an investment conference in Riyadh.

Locked in a tight U.S. Senate race in Arizona, Republican Martha McSally charged in a recent debate that a comment made by her Democratic rival, Kyrsten Sinema, about the Taliban in 2003 amounts to saying it’s “OK to commit treason.”

". . . The comment at issue came during a radio interview Sinema gave in February 2003 to publicize an antiwar protest in Phoenix. The host, libertarian Ernest Hancock, seemed to object to using U.S. tax dollars in foreign countries for war or humanitarian purposes. “You can do whatever you want with your money, not mine,” he said.
At one point, Hancock posed a hypothetical in which he made a “personal decision” to “go fight in the Taliban army.” Sinema responded, “Fine. I don’t care if you want to do that, go ahead.”
Moments later, Sinema tried to steer the conversation back to her purpose for the interview, to talk about the following day’s protest of U.S. military intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Asked about her Taliban comment during an interview with the Arizona Republic editorial board on Oct. 17, Sinema said, “That was an offhand comment to direct the conversation back to what I wanted to talk about, which was my concerns around this war.
I was against the war — 15 years later, I think there are good reasons for that.”

Electronics maker creating 82 jobs

"An electronics manufacturer in the area is planning to create 82 jobs.
Amphenol Borisch Technologies is investing $3.7 million into its headquarters in Kentwood, at 4511 E. Paris Ave. SE, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation  MEDC, said today.
The Kentwood headquarters is comprised of two buildings totaling 95,000 square feet, including an assembly plant and a machine shop.
The company will renovate space in its existing facility that was decommissioned four years ago after sending a significant number of jobs to its Nogales, Mexico facility.
The company will also spend $3 million on new machinery and equipment.
Competing locations for the project included Mesa, Arizona and Nogales, Mexico. . .
Amphenol Borisch Technologies employs more than 400 people across locations in Michigan, Arizona, Canada and Mexico.

The Grand Rapids-based economic development nonprofit The Right Place is assisting the company with a project at the same time investing $3.7 million into its headquarters in Kentwood, at 4511 E. Paris Ave. SE, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, or MEDC, said today. The company will renovate space in its existing facility that was decommissioned four years ago after sending a significant number of jobs to its Nogales, Mexico facility.
