See: May December

May December is a feature-length tête-à-tête that forces viewers to read between the lines and engage with the movie’s tricky themes, dense characters, and our public fascination with mythmaking in a way no other film has done this year. It’s brilliant.

Here’s Esther Zuckerman’s take:

“A melodramatic score blares. A camera pulls in on a soft focus image of Julianne Moore staring inside a fridge. It seems like we're getting ready for a big revelation, something out of the soap opera playbook. Instead she says, with immense gravity: “I don't think we have enough hot dogs.” This is Todd Haynes’ May December, the latest movie to rock the Cannes Film Festival.

War is their ONLY salvation

Editor's note: Does this make sense? If you are an American who is involved in US foreign policy and you object to the US corporation's military presence around the world "you are the enemy." That is according to the once Raytheon and United Technologies board member and now head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin. And has anyone else noticed there is more and more talk about a war between the US corporation and China? "A time for American leadership" to do what exactly? Provide Ukraine (Ukraine takes US aid then purchases US weapons) and Israel (when has the US corporation concerned itself with dead civilians?) with an endless supply of US weapons and munitions manufactured by Raytheon Technologies (now RTX Corporation) and United Technologies (United Technologies merged with RTX Corporation)? It's really not people like Austin making the decisions. It is vaguely known powerful decision makers like Brett McGurk who decide what countries receive US munitions and where wars are fought for war contractors like Boeing. War is their ONLY salvation:
