In a tradition that dates back to 1927, Time dedicates one issue annually to featuring a person, group, idea or object that “for better or for worse … has done the most to influence the events of the year”.

Swift was also named Person of the Year in 2017 when she was recognised as one of the Silence Breakers who inspired women to speak out about sexual misconduct.
Fans have been drawn by the empowering feminist messages scattered across her discography and her openness to sharing her emotions.
  • In 2022, Time’s Person of the Year was Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the “spirit of Ukraine”.  
  • Previous selections include US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Martin Luther King Jr, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Pope Francis and activist Greta Thunberg.

Megyn Kelly is turning her hand to comedy with a voiceover role in a new 'anti-woke' cartoon series from the Daily Wire.
The former Fox News anchor will be asking the questions at the Republican primary debate on Wednesday night, but dealing with a different set of characters in the animated series 'Mr Birchum'.

Birchum (Adam Carolla) calls an organic food store in search of a weight control nut butter for his wife.
A trailer for the show features Kelly squealing delightedly in her role as the title character's wife alongside Roseanne BarrCandace Owens and the show's creator Adam Carolla.

He revives his KROQ radio character for the new series which he based on his junior high woodshop teacher.
'Mr Birchum attempts to navigate a world he doesn't understand or approve of,' the synopsis promises.

  • Kelly, 53, co-produced the political comedy series 'Embeds' in 2017 which followed the fortunes of five fictional college graduates embedded as reporters on a presidential campaign.
  • But her role in Mr Birchum is thought to be the first time she has been tasked with telling the jokes.

'This was the most fun I had in 2023,' she tweeted.
