“If a peace agreement is reached, it must be protected as
thoroughly as possible. And if a majority of member states believe that blue
helmets are necessary for that, then hopefully it will help secure lasting
peace. But first and foremost, peace negotiations must take place,” she said.
She remains confident that if the majority of states agree, then it could happen, discounting the fact that Russia could potentially veto the resolution.
